Within hand-specific surgery, Dr. Su specializes in addressing conditions such as thumb basal joint arthritis, wrist scope procedures, and the treatment of complex hand and wrist traumas. He completed a research project titled "Acute Irreducible Swan Neck Thumb Deformity Study," which has been published, contributing valuable insights to the field.
Currently, Dr. Su is engaged in ongoing research titled "Risk Factors of Upper Limb Diseases: A Multicenter Retrospective Cohort Study Based on TriNetX Research Network." This project aims to identify and analyze factors contributing to upper limb ailments, leveraging data from the TriNetX research network.

Dr. Wei-Chih Wang is an Attending Physician of Hand Surgery at the Department of Orthopedic Surgery, China Medical University Hsinchu Hospital, Hsinchu, Taiwan. With over 5 years of extensive experience in Orthopedic-Hand surgery, Dr. Wang is dedicated to advancing surgical techniques and improving patient care in the field of hand surgery.
Dr. Wang completed a Clinical Fellowship in Hand Surgery and Microsurgical Reconstruction Surgery at the China Medical University Hospital, Taichung, Taiwan, from August 2022 to July 2023 under the mentorship of Dr. Yung-Cheng Chiu. His training included microsurgery, wrist arthroscopy, minimally invasive surgery, treatment of general hand diseases, hand fractures, peripheral nerve diseases, and brachial plexus injuries.
In addition to his fellowship, Dr. Wang has undergone advanced fellowship training in wrist arthroscopy at the Taoyuan Armed Forces General Hospital with Dr. Jui-Tien Shih (2022-2023), and further specialized training in wrist arthroscopy at Sanno Hospital, Tokyo, Japan with Prof. Toshiyasu Nakamura (2023). He also received training in wrist arthroscopy and minimally invasive spine surgery at Osaka Global Orthopedic Hospital with Prof. Keiji Fujio (2023).
Dr. Wang is passionate about utilizing wrist arthroscopy to treat TFCC, SL injuries, and CMC OA among other related conditions. His research and clinical interests focus on integrating novel surgical methods and biological reconstruction to enhance patient outcomes. He has published several papers in reputable journals, contributing to the field's body of knowledge. -

Dr. CH Wu obtained his medical degree from the University of Chang Gung in 1998. He got the Board of General Surgery and Orthopaedic Surgery in 2004 and 2005. Furthermore, he obtained the Board of Spine and Hand Surgery in 2006. In 2012, he was admitted as clinical fellow in Orthopaedics & Traumatology of Prince of Wales Hospital. Dr. Wu is currently the Chief of Hand surgery of E-DA Hospital, as well as the OSCE and Orthopedic Resident Training Director. He is appointed as Associate Professor of the Faculty of Medicine at the I-Shou University. He received the “The Year Best Teacher of E-DA Hospital Award” in 2009 and 2013.
His main research interest is on wrist arthroscopic surgery. Others include upper extremity trauma, rheumatoid hand, elbow disorders and tendon surgery. He is a member of European Wrist Arthroscopy Society (EWAS) since 2009, committee member of Taiwan society for surgery of the hand since 2016 and Taiwan orthopedic trauma association since 2018.

Dr. Po-Ting Wu is a distinguished Professor in the Department of Orthopedics at the National Cheng-Kung University (NCKU) College of Medicine and National Cheng-Kung University Hospital. He received his PhD in Biomedical Engineering from NCKU in 2016. He also holds appointments in the Department of Biomedical Engineering and the Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology at the same institution. His research interests span a wide range of orthopedic specialties, including orthopedic surgery, fracture-related surgery and research, tendinopathy, ultrasound-related musculoskeletal procedures, and medical device R&D. His work has significantly contributed to advancing techniques in orthopedic care and understanding of musculoskeletal conditions.
Dr. Wu has published over 70 peer-reviewed articles in refereed journals. His research covers diverse topics including tendinopathy mechanisms and treatment, carpal tunnel syndrome, osteoarthritis, and innovative surgical techniques. He actively educates on diagnostic and interventional musculoskeletal ultrasound and is a sought-after speaker at prestigious international conferences and workshops, including WFUMB, AFSUMB, ISPRM, ISPRMDC, AOCPRM, ICCNU, ASAUT, KARM, JSOU, JSSF, Pain Diploma, EURO-MUSCULUS, and WORLD-MUSCULUS.
Dr. Wu's research interests include sonoelastography, deep learning applications in musculoskeletal ultrasound, thermoresponsive hydrogels in regenerative medicine, and the mechanical effects on glymphatic systems. -

Dr. Chen-Yuan Yang currently serves as the Division Director of Hand and Reconstructive Microsurgery and as the Chief of the Department of Orthopedic Surgery at Kuang Tien General Hospital. He is also supervisor of the Taiwan Orthopaedic Trauma Association and national faculty of AO Trauma Taiwan. Following his fellowship training in microsurgery and wrist arthroscopy at the Department of Orthopedics, E-Da Hospital, and the Department of Hand Surgery, Beijing Ji Shui Tan Hospital, Dr. Yang has been practicing as a hand surgeon for more than ten years.
His clinical interest and research publication primarily focus on two areas: 1. Reconstructive microsurgery, which includes finger and limb replantation, flap reconstruction, brachial plexus injury, peripheral nerve injury, and free vascularized fibular graft; 2. Wrist arthroscopic surgery, encompassing arthroscopic-assisted reduction of intra-articular distal radius fracture and arthroscopic transosseous TFCC foveal footprint repair. As a hand surgeon and trauma surgeon, Dr. Chen-Yuan Yang is dedicated to ensuring that patients suffering from acute injuries or chronic complications could return to their daily activities with improved quality of life following surgical interventions. -

Tai-Hua Yang was born in Tainan, Taiwan. In 1997, he received a medical degree in Western and Traditional Medicine at China Medical University in Taichung, Taiwan. After completing his residency and clinical fellowship there, he obtained the Board of Taiwan Orthopedic Association license in 2006. He enrolled in the master’s program at what is now the Department of Biomedical Engineering at National Cheng Kung University (NCKU), Tainan, in 2007. The following year, he was promoted directly to the PhD program. In 2011, he obtained a full one-year grant from the National Science Council for advanced research at the Orthopedic Biomechanics Laboratory, Department of Orthopedics, Mayo Clinic, Rochester, MN, USA. He worked as a research fellow for five years there. He focused on the biomechanical and molecular biological regulation of carpal tunnel syndrome and received a basic science award from the American Society for Surgery of the Hand. Since 2016, he has been a faculty in the Department of Biomedical Engineering at NCKU. He is also an Attending Physician in the Department of Orthopedic Surgery at NCKU Hospital, College of Medicine, Tainan. His current research interests include orthopedic biomedical research, application of medical image processing, medical device and rehabilitation equipment research and development, and orthopedic molecular biology.
